After 7 grueling months under da sea, my boom is back! Earlier this year in February I managed to loose my entire rig out at North Sound (see Survival at the Sandbar).
A few days ago, a kayak clean-up team from Walkers were in the North Sound cleaning up rubbish and came across this little gem. Luckily someone had heard the story, and gave my lady a call. When I heard “Hawaiian Proline”, I knew that miracles do happen!
I’ve since replaced it with an RRD boom, since it seems HPL have gone out of business. I really like the clamp at the front and the stiffness of this boom. I’ll scrape the blistering barnacles off, give it a good scrub and it should be good to go!
The new Caylight beer from Caybrew has been launched here, and guess who made it onto the poster? Check it out. Very stoked and nice to be able to give windsurfing a bit of publicity. This was taken on Seven Mile Beach in a Nor’wester back in Feb 2007 from the front of Royal Palms.
A new free online magazine called Windsurfer International has just been released! Check it out!
